Community Milestone
DREADMOOR has crossed the 100,000 wishlist threshold on Steam following its early playtest phase. The developers expressed appreciation to the community for supporting the title during ongoing production. Participant reception from the earlier pre-alpha trial demonstrated that the majority of players received the game favorably.
Gameplay Improvements
Since the early pre-alpha playtest, the developers focused entirely on building DREADMOOR, using player feedback to improve the fishing experience. A special Gameplay Deep Dive Trailer prepared for IGN Fan Fest featured subtle teasers for upcoming features. The game world is set in an early twentieth-century flooded setting where mutant life inhabits dark waterways. Anglers begin by catching calmer species such as the Softgrazer before upgrading gear to pursue dangerous predators like the Bristler.
Future Testing
The studio continues to run targeted focus tests through its official Discord server to evaluate new mechanics. Additional public testing opportunities are planned as development progresses toward future milestones.
